I live in my car!

Is anyone else like me? Is your car a mess? I have a job that requires a lot, and I mean A LOT, of travel time. Every time I beg, plead, and flutter my eyelashes to get Hubs to clean the car I hear about how messy it is. I could clean it myself, but......ehh. Who wants to do that when there are so many cute things I could be working on.

I average between 1,200 to 1,500 miles each month of car time. I found there are certain items that I need all the time which tend to get lost in the clutter of my trusty car. So! This was my attempt to organize the car and cut down on the mess. Hopefully the next time the Hubs cleans the car he will notice a difference.
I just used a box that printer paper comes in, it was the perfect size. It fits nicely on the middle of my backseat where I can reach it easily. Gives me easy access to the things I must have that were either cluttering up my purse or rolling under the seat into the underworld of old food (YUCK, I know!!!) and trash.

I used my trusty hot glue gun to cover the box with fabric and make dividers for the interior of the box.
The space is divided up to give every thing it's own compartment. Most important is the middle. This is for trash. I lined it with bags so I can easily empty it when I stop for gas. This has dramatically reduced the clutter in the car!
I also have hand sanitizer, lotion, cup for pens/ notepads, umbrella, spot for my audiobooks. It took some tweaking but it's working out nicely!!

And this is the best part. I would be embarrassed every time someone had to be in my car, and would have to spend several minutes tossing all the junk over the back seat into the back of my SUV. Now, when carpooling is required I just slide my organizer from the back seat into the back. And the best, best, bestest of all!!!! Nothing get's lost.

Happy Monday!
